I like him, but i can't help but think " Flat track bully " at times with him.
....could be right, but that 2nd goal was of such quality and the timing so important that I'm more of a view that he can reproduce regardless of opposition. I do feel he'll continue to be inconsistent, but there's a lot to like about his talent.
I've thought this before, too. I just think with wingers unless you spend over £20m or so you'll rarely get a consistent player. It's the nature of their role, they take players on and naturally sometimes it won't come off. They're more likely to dribble than anyone on the pitch and so it creates more opportunity to make mistakes/get tackled.
For me McGeady has already proven good value for money as he was only something like £1m. At worst he's back up and a useful option off the bench.
so what position was he playing in last night?
“They have been very vocal and positive with me about that – they have been saying it doesn’t matter how many times I give the ball away, if I create a chance and we score from it then that’s the main thing. It’s about being more expressive and positive with my play.”
From the Irish Times:
Everton manager Roberto Martinez took up today where Martin O’Neill had left off by hailing Aiden McGeady’s form and suggesting that the 28 year-old winger may well be about to have the best season of his career.
“I’ve said it before,” the Spaniard observed while looking ahead to this weekend’s Premier League trip to West Brom, “that we are going to see the best of Aiden McGeady this season and it’s probably going to be the best season of his career in the British game so it’s really, really exciting.”
We could have a really devastating attack and good balance once Barkley comes back with McGeady and Mirallas either side.
Unfortunately with Naismith I think we'll continue to be too open however we'll still score.
He certainly works hard but he's a striker, he plays as a striker. Barkley is a midfielder.I disagree, Naismith gives us a more industrious prescence, he works hard in pressing and squeezing the opposition.

I don't think Barkley is by any means the finished article yet but I think he gives us a better balance with just the general position he plays in.
Ultimately it was why England suffered at the WC, Rooney played too far forward making it a 4-4-2 but they looked better when Sterling or Barkley played there.
