Just seen it all before, papers link us to a player, player signs for somebody else, fans fume cos we "missed out" on a player, despite the fact that we have no interest in the player.

He would be the exact type of player Martinez goes for. For all the control of the ball and hence the game that is indicative of the Martinez way he still likes to get the ball to the forward players who have the ability to go past someone. That is what McGeady will do. Personally I hope he has his eye on someone else who can go past players and have a better final ball. However, if he is free or next to nothing then it is the type of signing we have to make to, sadly!
 

I assume McGeady would be a squad player rather than someone expected to stroll into our starting XI. If he's cheap enough and low risk, I really don't see a problem. Especially when everyone acknowledges one of biggest problems is our lack of depth and attacking players on the bench who can change things.
 
Deffo even though he has assisted a few kev and dela have the same attributes speedy trickery can beat a player
