Not true, football is by far the most played sport, then its gaa football, then hurling. Football clubs do wonders at grass roots level and even now at LOI level for the funds they get compared to gaa. Football does not have many friends in high places unlike others. Dont know where you live but from where i am nobody has any interest in gaa sports, most prefer proper international sports that people around the world play and not these local sports that are irrelevent everywhere else and ever more even here.
Link me to your facts please.

Huge weekend with Derry drawing at home to Shels Friday, Rovers beating Drogheda 5-0 last night. Pat's now level with Derry but Rovers are 6 points clear with three to play. Our GD is worth another point if we should finish level on points.

Rovers have Pat's and Cork away finishing at home to Sligo.
Derry have only two matches left so realistically won't get above Rovers
Pat's have Sligo and Shamrock Rovers at home, finishing away to Derry

If Rovers can get at least a draw at Pat's then its over with two still to play.

Never over until the fat lady sings, but I think after this weekend she is getting her large dress ready!! :)

Hope we do the business tonight - live on RTE.

Sold out, and its Mrs BR's birthday, so an early meal out, then back home for the match.

If we don't win tonight, our last two games are Cork City away on Monday, and Sligo at home Friday.

Pat's have only one more match after to night and that is away to Derry.

Realistically given the GD, (Rovers +36, Pat's +22) a draw will do tonight - hard to see Rovers shipping that many goals in the last two or Pat's scoring that many at Derry.

A Pats win would be good for the neutral, only delays the inevitable but keeps it interesting.
