Tbf I don't think there is any PL standard talent operating in the LOI. I was lucky enough to see Bazunu play in the cross as a 16 Yr old and he saved a Kieran Sadlier penalty. You could see citys plan that night was to reign balls down on top of him but he commanded his area brilliantly and took every cross and high ball at his ease. We knew leaving after the game that we had seen something special. But outside of him I haven't seen a real top quality player in the loi with a long long time. The new superhero, Jack Byrne couldn't cut it in Cyprus and that to me says a lot tbh
Probably depends on what you regard as premier league talent. I think quite a few of the current senior squad and U21's will be playing in the PL next season or the season after. I think we'll have players in Italy, Belgium and Spain next season iirc.

I think we've recently hooked up with Sligo as well. Players coming out of the U19 league are much more ready than the schoolboys that were travelling over up until a decade or so ago.

Jason Knight, Josh Cullen, Adam Idah, Gavin Bazunu, Caoimhine Kelleher & Mark Travers would all be fine right now playing for a PL side.

Good luck to him if he goes. Like Kenny, he's probably reached a ceiling here.
I know that for obvious reasons @Bluerover disagrees strongly with me, but I will never change my view that he has gotten away with absolute murder at Rovers and if he were to go it will most likely turn out to be a blessing in disguise for them. He isnt in the same hemisphere as Kenny

No and he wont get as long to bed in as he did at Rovers if he does go. I think he was in his 3rd season before there was any real progess on the pitch with Rovers.

The important fixtures, nevermind the premier division

You ever get a feeling deep in the pit of your stomach that you just cant shake? Most likely be proved wrong but i think Cobh could cause Galway a serious issue tonight. Gave us everything we could handle a couple of weeks back, i know that was a derby and a huge game for them but they looked better then they had in the first game. Friend of mine who is a Galway fan reckoned Cobh should have gotten something in Galway where they lost 1 0, so here is hoping.

Not beating Athlone would be unthinkable for us really.

Heres hoping Bray can put another nail in the Waterford coffin but following that club statement yesterday, i really wouldnt hold out much hope.

I thought Cobh were a decent but inexperienced side when we played them, Galway are a step up from them.

Another legendary club statement from Bray, the club is a basket case, the fans hate the club administration, the club administration hate the fans but at least the playing surface has improved!?!

This made me laugh, a lot. Broke my heart to see Rob Manley living off scraps in TX that night, give him service and he will score goals, but no one could operate with what was going up to him that night
