Huge night

Bradley makes 7 changes from the Sligo match - I hope it doesn't disrupt the flow

Still looks strong - Mandroiu and Burke on the bench. Burke cam on HT last week and scored a hat trick

Derry have a very good manager and a very good team.
,
Great atmosphere, sold out, pitch like a carpet, nice and sunny

Come on the Hoops!!

Half Time (all 7.45)

Shamrock Rovers 0 Derry City )
Dundalk 0 Bohemians 1
Shelbourne 0 Drogheda United 0
Finn Harps 0 UCD 0

FT

Shamrock Rovers 1 Derry City 0 - sorry about the typo at HT. Derry far better but Rovers changed it at the 67th minute and the goal was a thing of beauty
Dundalk 3 Bohemians 1 - some turn around i the second half !!!
Shelbourne 1 Drogheda United 0 - glad for Duffer. I wish him well. Still in injury time
Finn Harps 0 UCD 1 very last goal just a few minutes left

Rovers rode their luck but as Fenlon said (cliche I know) a sign of a great team is to play badly and win. Four points clear after 12 unbeaten games. Derry were six ahead a few weeks ago

It was a decent game, Derry probably shaded it and Maher should've done better with the inital shot for Rovers goal.

Thats a massive win for UCD / loss for Harps.

Missed a chance to win it at the death. Suppose you'd have to be happy with it.

Lots of football still to be played - but a ten point turnaround in a a matter of weeks is some achievement after a slow start. 60 points still to play for.

Dundalk had a great second half

I think you have 17 more to play??

Dont rub it in! ?
I hope the Seagulls get things back on track and get into the Prem soon

As Evertonians we are used to long dreary seasons of rubbish. Rovers went from 87 to 2010 trudging around borrowing stadia to play their matches in. Despite the League win in 1993-4 we nearly went out of business in 2005 because of a rotten Board after a points deduction for irregularities.

So after 4 in a row including 3 doubles by 87, Kilcoyne,s greed kicked us out of Milltown. The 22 years 1987 to 2009 were really horrible.

A bit like the Dubs, everyone forgets the famine after 1983 - one All Ireland in 1995 - before we finally broke through in 2011. A bit like Rovers, just one Championship in 28 years.

As for Everton .... they just keep making it difficult to sleep at night.

Depending on which report you read somewhere between 7 and 10 people arrested in connection with LOI match fixing. Its from a few years back (2017 or so) and one former Cork City player who made 6 league appearances for us in 2017 is knee deep in it. He was also in take that, expect Limerick to be mentioned a lot as well in the coming days I'd say. It's a pity but hopefully they will be charged and locked up if found guilty
