That's some mighty inflammatory language from a supposedly learned man. His views would hold considerably more weight if he went after the issues, attacked science with science. Instead he starts calling people names.
Doesn't really cast the man in a favourable light. At least the likes of Bjorn Llomberg actually went to the effort to debase science in a factual way, albeit perhaps providing the "lies, lies and statistics" dictum. This guy does nothing but use rhetoric.
Yeah, at the risk of stoking an argument with Tx Bill, I still remember all the "experts", as well as medical doctors and researchers in the seventies who debunked the "myth" that smoking causes lung cancer, etc. - and I remember how badly I wanted to believe them as I was a smoker at that time.
