Talking ahead of Saturday evenings game at Al Ahli, Laurent Blanc said of James: “We are all waiting to see the new players, he is not ready to play. He has a slight calf problem.”
Make of that what you will. :coffee:
And people said he wouldn't fit in!

As the sage chairman Ali Bin Saud Bin Ahmed Bin Ali Al Thani said, who in Al Rayyan has not had a slight calf problem?

I am sure he will be fine for the Al-Duhail game. Otherwise he will have to go to the Al-Duhail Hospital for bleating children.

Al-Ahli host the Fierce of Al Raayan this Saturday, October 2nd at 7:15pm Arabian Standard Time (4:15pm GMT, 12:15pm EST, 9:15am PST) or Sunday, October 3rd at 2:15am for the many al Raayan supporters in Sydney, Australia. This match will, of course, be played at the Hamad bin Khalifa Stadium.
Al-Ahli SC (not to be confused with al-Ahli Saudi FC), founded in 1950, are the oldest club in Qatari football.
Despite this illustrious history, Al Ameed (Brigadier) have never won the league. Interestingly, they played a friendly against Santos in 1973.
Al-Alhi hold the league record for attendance when they packed an astounding 10,142 fans on the final match day of 2014. They are an inspiration.
Last year, al-Ahli finished fifth in the league, two places below our beloved Lions. Last year's match was a 1-1 draw.
Currently, al-Ahli are seventh in the league while al Raayan are eighth.
Al-Ahli have a potent attacking trio; having scored a total of one goal in their first four matches.
Should be a hard-fought three points.
Up the Fierce!

I thought our match was tonight? Is it tomorrow? That scuppers my plans right up that as I've only got a 24 hour lease on my Camel whilst my other one gets serviced ffs
Here you go

At least they got to see him on the pitch.
Just look at the packed crowd that attended his 'presentation' last week in response to the invitation from Al Rayyanlol

If you watch closely, the 6th keepy uppy he just slightly injures his calf, hamstring, ankle and big toe. Understandable really why he's missing.

On a serious note though, what country is he playing in? If its an hours drive from Fylde I'm gonna have to go a kidnap the kid because I can't be having him play in front of 200 fans week in week out.

Magnificent. You can smell the bin Ali atmosphere from the pictures.

Oh James! No greater love has an athlete for his club that he slaughters his father calf. Not like that Nzonzi who is only prepared to run around playing during game time - he makes me mad already.
