Lost my job a few months back, and have managed to get a gig at a warehouse they are opening next to Bescot Stadium (Walsall F.C) to tide me over for a while. Pretty sure I get a discount in Lidl stores, so will definitely be using it to stock up on their Ale based on your recommendation

They get some really good stuff in, got myself some lovely Port Salut Caractere french cheese from there yesterday, always finding little bits like that, it's come a long way from the days of Xcell Pizzas and stuff lol.

proper mushy peas are nice Don my late mother used to soak them overnight in a big pan with a big salt cube that came in the box - they were better than those tin ones and you could fart for weeks!lol

This is going back a ways, at least 7 years now, but I remember seeing one in Warwick, Rhode Island, and going in for a wander and look see.

Similar to Lidl. Not good for fresh produce, but a great place for those of us who often shop in the "alternative" aisle of supermarkets anyway.

Aldi's Puglian olive oil is very well regarded and beats most other brands that are many times the price, so nab a few bottles the next time you pass by one:

Good cheap groceries. Basically a discount grocer from Euroland. When we're in the area of one, we ruthlessly raid the candy/chocolate section.

Amazing buys on good quality German/Swiss chocolates.

Lidl have a red that tastes like vinegar. It's called Bardolino.

It might have actually been vinegar as their shelving can be haphazard.
