No...are you sure this wasn't a dream?

Kind of. Turned out it was a 0-0 at Anfield.

But he played centre half for that and I thought we'd get tonked but he had a good game;

Three minutes after that, Stubbs inexplicably left a through-ball which almost let in Le Tallec but Pistone saved him with a good clearance.

That's my only positive comment I have on Pistone at Everton.

Wasn't he LB during that season we got 4th? IIRC He was easily the most improved player that season. He definitely had a season at LB, a foreshadowing moment for Moyes using a naturalised CB at fullback and them being a success.

Also I believe there is a story involving a car but I can't quite remember it and might be crossing a memory.

Can't remember a whole lot about him but cool name. Kind of sounds like pasta that's been in a pot of booze for a while

Since retiring from football, Pistone has made a number of appearances on the Italian Poker Circuit, and participated in the eight Annual Night of Aces event in 2010. Pistone also owns and runs a restaurant in Milano near Central Station, Italy, which specialises in Saveloy Dip

From Wiki.

Utter tosh. He was one of the first players I remember who would defend crosses by putting his hands behind his back which annoyed me immensely. Teenage me could not stand him.

I've got his autograph on a white Everton baseball cap in green marker, what a collectable that is, it's out in the shed somewhere, I'll have to root it out, I'll post a picture if i find it.
