Best argument I can make for this signing is that we are a direct side. He won’t be quite the player in the buildup hat Bernard is, but he can be a better outlet. This would have made more sense if Gueye was still here as well because I’m not sure Gbamin will be quite the same on the counter attack. We will see

Have you seen Gbamin long passing? Just think back to what Jags used to attempt (long ball to wing) without much success and now know it will be successful. Gbamin looks good carrying the ball....he has got pace with the ball at his feet. IMO Gbamin will be good at getting a counter started

Quite happy with Iwobi. He's fast and direct and I felt he always had a raw deal at Arsenal by never getting a good run in the team.
He's younger, faster and hungrier than Walcott and just so much better than Bolassie. So an upgrade in my view.

Pure speculation. At 23 Zaha was all stepovers and no trousers. Who's to say Silva can't develop Iwobi? You're not even giving him a chance, based on a hypothesis about Ferguson.

Tierney is nailed on to be top class. He is better than Robertson. I can only see them being better now Emery has had a year to bed in. He is a top-class, proven coach.

We seem weaker in some positions than last season, which does not bode well for a top six push.

My mate who is a Celtic fan has only raved about two Celtic players in the last 10 years, despite all their success. Van Dijk and Tierney.

Will he steal the ball against the run of play and steal it upfield against the run of play? That remains to be seen. Counterattacking is more than just 50 yard balls down the line. I hope he is good at it as you say. Otherwise, I’m not too excited about this Iwobi singing.

If we’d have signed zaha when he was 23 the fume in here would’ve been off the scale.
I weren’t even convinced about him this summer, until I watched a load of highlight clips and convinced myself he was what we needed.
