I was going to post this. Yeah all the Arsenal fans who thought he brought nothing are now watching games where the ball never even gets to Aubameyang.
And we are watching him do jack all on the wing (where he obviously shouldn’t be playing to be fair). I’m not sure we can afford him a free role ala Davies first year so I wouldn’t be averse to seeing him swapped with one of our central midfielders. He can’t possibly be any worse.

When given a bit of freedom he can do fine. The second half last week was very encouraging. That kind of performance is something we desperately need on a weekly basis.

I still retain hope, if anybody can get a tune out of him its Carlo.

Sadly the problem will be that's he's not comfortable on the wing and we don't play a 10 and he's defo not good enough in the engine room.
You didn't even watch the second half of Norwich. No comfort issues at all when he wasn't being asked to imitate Stanley Matthews.

But I've seen him have good games on the wing.

I didn't say he cant, I just said he's not comfortable, hence why he turns in more 1st half than 2nd half performances.
I think we will see the better side more as he plays more under Ancelotti. It helps to have an actual attacking system and not Silva's everybody pour into the box and pray the cross hits someone.

He likely won’t have that ‘freedom’ against better teams unless we bulk up that midfield. Either way he should try and hopefully he keeps that mindset

He just needs playing time. I thought he looked great up the middle honestly!

He didn’t really play up the middle did he ? He shifted inside , he didn’t seem to play in what you’d call that 10 role but for of an old fashioned inside forward rather than a winger . Obviously it’s harder to judge on the telly but that’s how I saw it .

The second half saw a marked improvement although he was starting from a very low bar .

He's being asked to do a job while Walcott is out injured. And we're 4 points out of six with him in the team. Played on a wing that helped nullified Mane and after a quiet start finished one of our better performers against Norwich. People get it into their heads that can't stand a player so much they can't see the woods for trees. Next season will be the season when we know whether he'll cut the mustard.

I am still giving him time to change, but it was only the second half he looked decent in the second half But Norwich were the worst team we have played this season including in the cups imo.

for the money Arsenal took us to the cleaners for him and Walcott. It baffles how we were willing to not rush in to a CB and go in short there but we’re willing to spend anything to get any right sided player in.

In his defence, he always tries to be positive and he’s not afraid to take risks with his passes. The opposite to Gomes in a way. As a result though, you are more likely to give the ball away.

Looking forward to see how he gets on against better opposition over the next three games.

We need him to come good to save us some much needed money.
