lol lol lol I’m convinced you haven’t watched football before
We’ll see. hope I’m wrong. I don’t watch much other teams football these days but I’ve watched arsenal a fair bit over the past couple of years for one reason or another.
People are getting a hard on cos he’s had a couple of half decent games.

I might be in the minority on this, but I liked Iwobi at Arsenal - my mates in a Whatsapp group raised their eyebows a bit when I declared myself "made up" that we'd signed him on deadline day, but I think he brings something we didn't already have. Carries the ball well, although like any winger he can make bad decisions on this at times, but the bit I like about him most is the passes he plays around the box. Simple, but intelligent passes which sometimes get missed and possibly aren't the pass which provides an assist, but open up chances to create goals. He did it at Arsenal and for whatever reason they didn't appreciate it. He was doing it yesterday in the first half too. He's a very clever player. His finishing was poor at Arsenal - used to seem to lose his composure when presented with a chance and I often think that was a large part of the reason the Arsenal fans were, at best, very torn on him. He faded badly in the 2nd half yesterday, but he had no preseason whatsoever so I don't think that's any kind of a concern just yet.

I actually think that he'd be better as a number 10 - Sigurdsson seems undroppable to Silva, but a little clever player like Bernard from the left interchanging with Iwobi might be really exciting

Id go along with that. Doesnt always happen but i try and give it at least half a season. Problem with forums is it has to be instant. Good or bad. Guilty of it myself at times.
A big criticism of him at Arsenal was he could be very inconsistent.
Fingers crossed a new club and possible regular starts he might change that.

Seems like a pretty good bit of business so far, a young promising player with a lot of premier league experience already for a fair price.

I reckon we'll see some inconsistency, but he definitely offers us something different and looks intent on making something happen whenever he has the ball.

I don't think anyone doubted that he was a decent footballer when we signed him, it was just a lot of money for someone who hadn't stood out in an Arsenal team full of very good players and was a relative unknown of how good he actually is as he'd never really been given the chance to show it with a regular spot in the team. He has certainly started off his Everton career well, exceeded expectations in my opinion

And? Maybe he’s better at us than arsenal if you think he’s not a decent footballer then you clearly don’t have a clue

I thought that in the second half he dropped deeper to help Digne who was getting roasted by Traore, that is why we didn't see him in attack as much after the break.

Aye, people seem to have difficulty coming to terms with the fact that Digne had a bad game, or just don't want to talk about it. But I felt that affected Iwobi too. I have liked what I have seen so far, I can't even remember watching him for Arsenal, but he seems to have good vision and looks to make forward passes

Comes across well in his interviews i like his attitude be good seeing him on potch with bernard and rich to see them xhanging positions

....seen the run for the goal from low cameras on the Bullens Rd side.

His marker (Traore) is with him 35 yards from goal but doesn’t track him when he busts a gut to get in the box. He arrives unmarked to score the header. Even at that level, midfield runners who accelerate with purpose lose their markers. A player can make 20 of those runs and be rewarded once, but the top players keep believing.
