Didn't play him ?
He started 22 league games for them last season, 22 the season before and 18 the season before. Add in 25 sub appearances over those 3 seasons and you'll see that he was trusted to play for them on a regular basis. He was plainly going to be lower down in the pecking order this season ( hence why he wanted to leave and they were willing to let him go for a good price ) but, while we might have overpaid a bit, saying they didn't play him is a ludicrous thing to say.

Still young, still learning.
But yeah, I don’t rate him as yet. Seems to drift through games. Has missed a few decent chances and wasted the ball too much in good positions. I know he’s an attacking player but he doesn’t work hard enough defensively either for me. Not disciplined enough.
That said, he’s got pace to burn, can beat a man (even if his final ball isn’t great) and that energy can often be very useful. Still not convinced he was a good signing in the long term though. Jurys out.

I thought he was more effective playing down the middle once again, he picks the ball up and gets involved. Gives the ball away cheap sometimes but he’s positive. A lot less effective when Siggardson came on and he moved wide. This needs to be looked at because it’s not working.

I get what you're saying, but I think he's better than average and might ( but might not ) improve. He's not top drawer though, but he improved our squad.

Can understand why your frustrated I am to, but he has come from a team that know how to pass and move and make more than one option on the ball. I agree that he need to release the ball quicker at times and not try and take on the whole team. Genuine question do you think he needs to lose abit off muscle he looks bulky.

He seemed to be the same at Arsenal looked outstanding then 2mins later looked like a championship player.He could end up a great player but have my doubts.Muscle wise not really looked.
Still young can improve. Seems to be carding to much weight the way he runs probably just me hahah.

I had a word with my lad after the game and we both had exactly the same thoughts. Pace seemed to drop when sigs came on. Keep Iwobi playing through the middle
