We have filled a squad with players of this ilk. Decent but completely inconsistent footballers. They all look to each other for inspiration, none of them prepared or seemingly capable of offering it themselves.

Theo was on a booking and fading, besides Iwobi needed someone up front today but he had no one, well Richarlison which was basically no one

Iwobi left Digne isolated down the left-hand side for most of the game, while not really imposing himself. Yes Theo was waning, but he was providing more than Alex.

You could see how frusrated and dishearted Theo was when he went off and personally I think he'd feel right to be disgruntled.

Trying to use him as a traditional winger isn't it. Let him come inside more and he can have an impact. It didn't help him that Richardson kept drifting out and stepping on his space.

Said that myself as the game went on. Should've put him behind the striker and took one of the midfield 3 off. He wasnt effective out wide.

Was at fault for the goal, but you know what you could see he was absolutely gutted, and that means something to me that he actually cares, he could have just lost his head completely at that point but he at least managed to finish the game, I’m sure he will learn from it.

The cries for him to play number 10 are very similar to what we heard about Sigurdsson on a week by week basis. Like Sigurdsson, I just don´t see Iwobi as the type of player you build a team around.
