You don't think Maddison, Ndidi or Tielemans have gotten better since being signed? Not sure about that. And regardless they only signed for Leicester because they were young and not established. It isn't like Leicester went out and signed Isco.
Yes I agree. But these, I believe, will prove to be top four/six standard (i think Leicester are a shoe in for CL). We have maybe Mina, digne. Richarlison perhaps. Pickford no but some people would say yes. Then we have 7 definite nos...why do Leicester potentially have eleven??? I don’t want to get into a big debate on this but I’m not having it that Everton aren’t capable of producing/buying a team to challenge the top four because we can only buy cast offs or young players. Iwobi, kean, Delph for me aren’t players who are going to get us challenging for the top four. Delph was clearly on his way down hence they sold him. Iwobi deemed not good enough for arsenal so we bought him. Kean, nowhere near ready. That’s nearly 80 million there on basically bit part players? It’s the recruitment that’s been a joke, not the supposedly limited pool of players we have to choose from. Just my opinion

Delph is not a top 4 player? Hes been very much a part of a side that won the League last season and the season before that he was a key player in the side that won the league.

Kean is 19 years old, he was bought with a nod to the future, Iwobi played almost every game for Arsenal last season, he moved cos they signed a player for 80mish to play in his place. We have signed 14 players in the last 12months and every single 1 has been very good for us.

Leicester do not have 11 top class players, its November, they are bang in form and playing very well, come back to me in January and if they are still top 4 consider me impressed.

You're badly overrating Leicester and underrating us

We will see come the end of the season. Delph is not a top four player. I’d say there are only evertonians out there who consider Delph a key part of city’s squad in the last few years. The player I am watching for Everton is not even an upgrade on Tom Davies. Chris smalling, Marcus rojo are just two examples of players who are not deemed good enough for Man U. If we buy them it doesn’t mean we are buying “Europa league winners and top six players” Iwobi again for me, is a cast off from a team who have been on the periphery or challenging for the top four. Again, the player I’m watching is half decent. Certainly not someone I feel any of the big boys would have come in for. Iwobi been on the bench as many games as he’s started in a mid table side that’s how good he is. It’s all about opinions anyhow and we will see where we stand.
As for kean. He may be 19 but I do remember a certain Richarlison coming over here similar age and tearing it up at Watford. DCL was also getting a load of minutes whilst developing as was Pickford. Chelsea have got a load of kids playing too. He wasn’t even on the bench on Saturday for a team languishing near the relegation places with tosun and DCL ahead of him. He may be 19 but come on, there’s a big problem here. Either he’s stinking the gaff out in training or he has an attitude problem.

Leicester actually have had a season or two to bed the likes of Ndidi, Maddison and Tellimans into their team in fairness. I did think we were after Maddison and we definitely need to add more through the spine of our team. Gbmain and Gomes being out and Kean bedding in also means we may not see the best of this team until next season.

Oh look its Greame Souness.

... but let's not crucify the lad!!

You've got the combination of some Evertonians and the internet all wrong mate.

What we have to do is find fault in every player in the squad, never acknowledge anything that they do well, and always ... always ... attempt to win the prize for "Most miserable bar steward on the planet", and make sure that everyone knows that they think a player is totally Sh one tee

Luckily, while not being exclusive to online Evertonians, these thought processes aren't shared by most fans, who tend to lurk on forums, while wondering if some people ever manage to take any pleasure from anything in life.

Don’t you talk about our very own Davek like that he is an upstanding pillar of the grand old team forum ;)

I respect his opinion, and don't doubt his passion for all things Everton related, but would happily continually kick him in the nuts until he begged for mercy

..... and would then continue to kick him in the nuts until my legs got tired.

Just can't see it mate. I know staying in the prem is worth big bucks, but I just don't see a team paying around £22m, and big wages (can't see him taking a big hit from what he is on now with us) for a slow, 30 year Sigurdsson.

Not saying anyone will or that we would even sell , but someone that is worried about going down might be willing to pay to stay in the league . He’s still a quality player and his screamers and goals from nothing can earn unexpected points and keep teams in the league.

I think upon reading this he thinks it would be more appealing to tea bag a bear trap

I don't really get the negativity towards Iwobi on here. I think he looks good when he plays, he offers something different in the centre and is certainly as good as if not better than our other wide players. Certainly at the weekend I think him coming on was pivitol, it was 1-1 when he came on for Walcott and we scored right after. I think he always looks to do something positive with the ball, either a forward pass, carrying the ball forward or getting a shot away
