If you ever want an example of assists being misleading Iwobi has gotten one against Leicester because he passed it to Richarlison before he scored from 3 miles out but did not get one for a good cross because DCL headed it into a defender for an OG.
Ah I thought he got one for the og

You know I don’t really get why people bang on about us spending mega bucks on him (not directing this at you - I mean in general).

he was £28m plus add ons. That’s pretty average nowadays.

All in and around that fee in recent years.
It's not a huge amount of money when you think of players costing £100m or whatever these days, but he'd still be a record signing for 9 clubs in the PL. On that basis I think saying the fee is 'pretty average' is a bit over the top, it's still a lot of money. I think we'd struggle to get our money back on Iwobi if we were to sell him now. If he keeps on improving obviously that can change, but right at this moment I can't see anyone offering what we paid. That's how you have to look at it really.

By playing him more regularly, Ancelotti has boosted Iwobi's confidence no end, and that has shown in his performances of late.

He’s been fairly consistent this year (although Southampton was awful and Leeds wasn’t good so maybe you’re exaggerating) but even that wouldn’t make him consistent. Saying he’s had 2 good months so the consistency problems he’s had in the last 5 years are now over is a bit knee jerk for me personally. I’m not trying to have a go at him, I’m just saying your explanation of his crossing is a bit of a crap one.
Maybe he might of required a run of games, told to be more direct and not try to take the same player on 3 times and he may also benefit from not getting abuse of a proportion of our supporters every time he received the ball.

Painfully bad. Like, really terribly bad. As thick as they come too in footballing terms. Can't make a good decision to save his life. Can only dream of some idiot of a manager out there somehow sees something in him to put in a bid.

Worst player on the pitch and by some distance.

Benefit of the doubt though as 4 games in the spin is probably his longest run of his career. One game too many tonight, shame the worst performance came in a cup QF
