I'm not quite sure that's what we've been doing.

I consider it an exchange of views and ideas, kinda the whole purpose of this forum.

But if you have felt sexual gratification, then I'm happy to have helped.
iwobi is good
no he's not he's crap
repeat x50.
thanks for your exchange of views and ideas.

Which is why I put in and I’ll repeat it again....

We’ve seen and heard all this stuff before with players in the past and not once has a player who was said to be unhappy for not playing in their preferred position been moved and excelled (at our club) or gone on to be a world beater in that position at a different club. Not once.

He’s another Bilyaletdinov.

There’s no unjust he’s just not good enough.
Part of the problem being we don't sign many world beaters. You did have Stones and Lukaku frustrated with how we played stylistically and well...

Teams separate themselves in open play. City and us have a similar number of set play goals. So I think those are worth taking out because for us to get better we need to be the best we can in open play. We haven't struggled to score from free kicks and corners when James and Digne take them instead.

The crossing thing is true, he's bad at crossing, but this is sort of why I think he's out of position. If he was in an area where he didn't have to cross we'd never even complain about it. The same thing happens with Holgate some when he's at fullback, but if Holgate was at CB where he belongs no one would worry about the crosses.

What I see in Iwobi is a good ball mover. He passes forward, he runs forward and in a team with good forwards he links up with them. Will he ever be a guy who produces a lot of goals and assists directly? My guess is probably not, and that is a legitimate problem, but we have guys in the team right now like DCL and Richarlison who pick up that part and not the stuff that Iwobi does. So for me Gylfi being another one who fits that category is really poor balance.

One last thing is that I decided to check on my comment about Doucoure's forward carrying and statistically he is way below Iwobi in how often he does it per 90 and that's with Iwobi in a position that makes it harder for him to do. It sounds crazy but Iwobi might be the player we need right now.
I think Iwobi may agree with you there, but I if anybody else does.

I don't take too much notice of the Chelsea game. It was always going to be a struggle for us, they have lots of quality players and a good manager who is still in the new manager bounce period.

But , if you look at the games before that against poorer opposition then Iwobi did get forward and a couple of times did get into good attacking positions and hadn't got a clue what to do then.I saw him kick the ball into the legs of the full back standing straight in front of him as he tried to cross the ball. The full back would have has to step out of the way for the cross to be made..

I was one of the few who thought he could be a good signing when he first came.
I thought he had potential, but, he really has not delivered on any kind of a consistent level in any position.
The manager and his staff see the players every day. I will be astounded if Iwobi has not at least had the chance to Express a desire to play more centrally.

But, as I said earlier I have seen Iwobi with no idea what to with the ball at his feet on the wing, it doesn't fill me with the belief that he could be more creative in the middle.

That’s a different argument.

Iwobi won’t be leaving Everton to find another similar club and boss it as a No.10 he just simply won’t. As I said it doesn’t happen.

It depends on what you're standard is. I think Lookman has shown this year we messed up with his development. Some will say he still isn't good enough. That's not really a reconcilable thing.

I’m gonna be intrigued to see what comes out of this. I know he’s played no.10 for Nigeria and has been pretty good there, but you have to look at the quality of opposition he’s coming up against generally playing African teams

They're different jobs. I get the sentiment in the last paragraph but I just think it is different enough that for a player it could be easier centrally.

It's very hard to use that as evidence of anything

Jesus is starting every week for the very best team and he is not better than average! There is no strawman, you're literally saying this.
Jesus is a month younger than Calvert-Lewin, and has already scored 107 senior clubs goals (plus 18 for Brazil).

If, like Calvert-Lewin, he had scored half that amount while playing for Everton, you'd be boasting about how he's going to play for City and be a regular for his national team when he grows up.
