He's not just potential though he's arguably one of their best players at the minute, but that's for another day, I replied to you about them not having someone who's replaced iwobi in terms of assists etc and saka has come in to replace him and his already a far more effective player
Well Saka has two league assists this year. He's scored a few goals tbf and you can see how he could become great but he isn't there.

My overall point is Arsenal fans have been saying the grass is greener for years and it often hasn't been. Wenger being the obvious example but they were also convinced Giroud was holding them back.

Bolasie was fine until he blew his knee out. Same situation as now with Iwobi really, probably not good enough, probably an overpay, but also someone who in the moment we needed to get the most from to have a good attacking side.
That season only turned around once he was out of the team.

Mate , I saw him stink the gaff out for Plymouth Argyle.
He was a fast headless chicken with virtually no appreciation / awareness of others and precious little football ability.
By the time we lashed ludicrous dosh on him and he rocked up at Goodison he hadn't really improved and is up there with Iwobi as one of our worst pound for pound signings.
However you seem to rate both of them.
Perhaps I should read more stats before I form an opinion.

Fully serious it can't hurt. I'm just saying Everton isn't really a great place to develop an understanding of what good creative and midfield play looks like the last 5 years or so.

You are spot on that in the recent past Everton can hardly be said to have played progressive football.
Luckily for me I saw the great Everton team of the 80's play virtually every game.
I watch Everton because I love them but in truth if I want to watch decent football there are far better watches.
Therefore my love of Everton does not disallow me from having an informed opinion upon good creative play and players.

Only playing mate, it isn't really a matter of thinking any of our under achievers are suddenly going to be phenomenal so much as trying to get what we can out of them for me.

Loved a step over did Yannick!!

Ha ha .
Great timing. Re stats , Boladie and @TheBigIguana .
Our boy Yannick is playing for Boro tonight v Preston
He has just put the worst , most innocuous , aimless cross into the box which a young defender sliced into the net.
Does that count as a assist in his stats? lol
No! But that is funny.

Believe it or not the stats people put a lot of thought into it. They don't really have as many holes as people seem to think.
