Well the only thing that can be done is sides stop paying ludicrous fees and giving players massive wages.

Relatively speaking, Iwobi probably isn't on 'that' much. He's not one of our highest earners, that's for sure. I mean, he'll be on like 70-80k which is obviously completely mad in real world terms, but in togger terms, not so much.

He's been a bad buy though. I don't know what Brands saw in him and as bad as Walsh was this signing has been up there with the worst of them when you consider £28m is the fee we paid for Lukaku (albeit 6.5 years ago now, I know).

It was a last min deal. We needed someone who could supposedly progress up the pitch with the ball. Statistically, he was very good at this, but this isn't the Arsenal team of a few years ago (arsenal aren't even the arsenal of a few years ago)
He had no.idea of the transfer, hence he was on holiday at the time.

I'm not his biggest fan, but I thought he did ok when he was given the roving roll for the first half an hour or so against Burnley. He moved into positions to get the ball and turn and attack their defence. He may be used similar tonight.

I hope so, he was let down by a lot of players around him but I thought it was a very promising display from him in that role.

He was constantly showing for the ball looking to take it on the turn and carry it forward. I expect he had more touches than anyone in blue during that first 30 minutes. He barely wasted a pass, if he wasted any at all and he was looking to make thing happen and get the balls in to the channels for the forwards.

He also has the ability to transition the ball up the pitch quickly unlike any of our other central players apart from Doucoure.

Our football has been turgid, even when winning, which I personally don't have any problem with at the moment. Based on what we seen last week, I do think Iwobi played in a central role, could help to drastically improve that.

It can be as turgid as it likes as long as we win. I think we're playing very much like an Italian team of old - defend, defend and when you get the opportunity the players that can turn the game like DCL and Richarlison have to score or we get a goal rom a set piece/corner.
