When he returns it should be through the revolving door, one side headed EXIT.

Bernard is a complete liability when we don't have the ball.Iwobi was not a player I disliked, until I saw him enough times for Everton to make my mind up, he is a very poor player and a bottler. Bernard doesn’t pull out of tackles or dive recklessly into them, he jockeys opposition players and makes them part with the ball, usually back to his own players, Gomes is not my cup of tea, he hasn’t done it for Everton, one goal and no assists since he came, no pace, he’s not out of place with that one, too many stupid, dangerous and sly tackles, many in goalscoring positions for the opposition. Back to Owobi you like him, keep defending him you can have him for me to be honest, he has skill and can be better than he has shown, just doesn’t seem interested or have the heart to make a go of it at Everton.
I justify for saying Iwobi is not doing it for Everton by watching him, it’s not a case of disliking him as a man but as a footballer, he should be doing a lot more physically, maybe he suffers from confidence and doesn’t believe in his ability, but he is not worth a place in the team the way he is performing now. Bernard has had a bad spell since he went back to Brazil and God knows what he saw there amongst family and friends and what the virus is doing to that country, gradually getting some form back now.Bernard is a complete liability when we don't have the ball.
It doesn't matter if you disliked him originally, you do now, so you're going to use all the character things to justify it. I say you, but everyone does it on here so it isn't meant to be personal. I do wish in general people were capable of not doing it. Because personally I don't think many players have actively not cared about the side. I mean my list is Schneiderlin and Mirallas that year where he got pissed and took the penalty off someone. People right now seem to think half of our squad at any given moment is actively not interested in winning matches and puts forth no effort.
I don't think he should as that isn't the type of player he is and it really never was. He's got some of both pace and power but when he is at his best it is more about linking with other players such as the game against Brighton where he assisted one and played the killer pass that led to another. No pace or power to speak of in that.I justify for saying Iwobi is not doing it for Everton by watching him, it’s not a case of disliking him as a man but as a footballer, he should be doing a lot more physically, maybe he suffers from confidence and doesn’t believe in his ability, but he is not worth a place in the team the way he is performing now. Our inability and/or unwillingness to shop in places that aren't the PL is really not great for building a team. Players exist that can do everything Iwobi and Doucoure give us, not to mention past failures like Walcott and Bolasie, at lower prices with more room for growth.Sadly he is a type of player we are adept at buying.
Overpriced, and seemingly unable to assert any influence on the game.
It was poor when he said that he likes it at Everton because there's less pressure than at Arsenal.Bernard is a complete liability when we don't have the ball.

TheBiguana, we’ll never agree over this player to be honest, he has some speed but I would say he has not much power, if any, I hope he improves and leaves me with egg on my face, and you thinking “ Told ya”I don't think he should as that isn't the type of player he is and it really never was. Honestly the idea that he's pacey is really just a stereotype thing but people get mad when I say that.

"According to the CEIS Football Observatory, which uses eight variables to produce a transfer value for each player, says that Richarlison is now worth between 70-90m Euros, although the expectation is that Everton would demand a higher fee if they were ever prepared to sell him.
Digne (20-30m Euros), Bernard (7-10m Euros), Kean (30-40m Euros) and Iwobi (30-40m Euros) are all estimated to be worth more than Everton paid for them."
lol
I just don't think you can rate Bernard's contributions without the ball and slate Iwobi as a luxury player (which is a ridiculously dumb term but that's another conversation). They're at best similar although I really think Iwobi is a pretty reasonable defender for a winger when we aren't holding him to Richarlison's standard and Bernard's lack of any type of physical traits and poor tackling make him a bit of an issue. But as I said at best they're pretty similar.I'm not usre on this mate. I always think Bernard funnels back in quite well without the ball.
As for Iwobi, he seems to have this style which appears quite relaxed. I think people see a lad who is 6 ft, and well built and probably expect/want him to be more all action, but he is ostensibly a luxury player. I'm not sure I've seen anything from him to say he can play any other role than as a 10. Now the defence of Iwobi is we have hardly played him in that position.
The question really is, for a team at the level we are now, never mind where we want to be, can we essentially carry an Alex Iwobi? If you are one of the bottom 4/5/6 teams and lacking creativity it's an option, but to me I'm not sure he's going to create enough to justify being a luxury player.
