If he starts let me tell you how it will go.
Woeful 45mins.
Hooked at the break.
I simply cant wait until he joins another club.
Not gona happen is it though.

This is the problem. There´s always a sinking feeling when you see his name on the team sheet because it´s so predictable what will happen. Imagine if we´d spent the money on Iwobi and Gomes on a quality player that was actually capable of starting.

Just scored cracking goal for Nigeria -[his 2nd goal]

Why does he "look" lazy?

All I'm saying is we do this every time he plays regardless of what he does. 3 or 4 posts about how he is lazy every time.
Well how about instead of lazy, you could say he doesn’t like mixing it, pulls out of fifty fifty tackles, he just doesn’t like the rough stuff, in my opinion.

That's not true either though...

I've said it several times but I don't get this obsession with 50/50s. Richarlison would probably have gained us points by pulling out of a 50/50. Sometimes it is actually the right thing.

I dread seeing Siggy on the team sheet more.

It’s not an obsession, it’s how you play football, you never pull out of those sort of tackles, Richarlison went into a tackle he had no right to make. How it is the right thing to do, pulling out of a fifty fifty tackle is beyond me I’m afraid.

Nah that's a 50/50. The 50/50ers don't get to pull out of the argument when the fact is flying into challenges can just as easily get you sent off as it can win the ball back.

I remember one of the tackles people went crazy about with Iwobi last season and the truth in that one from what I saw was that he could have dove in and maybe 1 or 2 times out of 100 won the ball and put the other team under real pressure but far more often he would have fouled and been booked. Which people would be calling him dumb for.

My feeling is the 50/50 stick is just an extra way to beat on a player who you don't like. I mean it should be out for Bernard and Andre Gomes too if you are getting it out imo, but I don't see it in those threads.

Iwobi was not a player I disliked, until I saw him enough times for Everton to make my mind up, he is a very poor player and a bottler. Bernard doesn’t pull out of tackles or dive recklessly into them, he jockeys opposition players and makes them part with the ball, usually back to his own players, Gomes is not my cup of tea, he hasn’t done it for Everton, one goal and no assists since he came, no pace, he’s not out of place with that one, too many stupid, dangerous and sly tackles, many in goalscoring positions for the opposition. Back to Owobi you like him, keep defending him you can have him for me to be honest, he has skill and can be better than he has shown, just doesn’t seem interested or have the heart to make a go of it at Everton.
