At least Holgate has had a few decent games. In the dim and distant I'll grant you, but at least has done a few things for the team, and did not, I emphasise, cost £500 brillion in a transfer fee at £60 godzillion a week for 114 year contract. That puts my take into perspective.

Deulofeu may be better suited to Italian football. He clearly didn't have the stamina for the Premier League. Having said that, he's obviously better than Iwobi.

Deulofeu is a talented player who is good for about sixty minutes. We took him on a deal with a dirt-cheap buyback that more or less guaranteed that Barca would exercise it as player values skyrocketed. Otherwise, we wouldn't have gotten him in the first place.

Iwobi was a pure, unforced error that was almost certainly a panic buy after the pursuit of Zaha fell through. Deadline deals that come out of nowhere after a deal falls apart rarely work out well, and often work out that badly.
