Desperately hope the end is nigh for him, but deep down know full we'll he's just another Bolasie who will bleed us dry until the end of his contract.

Another willing to sacrifice his once promising career to line his pockets at stupid old Everton.

Wish I could get in on a slice of that action.

I have no idea how accurate this is but I've read on the paragon of news that is FB that Iwobi has deleted all his everton related posts on social instagrambook or whatever modern blather has replaced Shoot magazine. Interesting ya?

Iwobi the enigma.........best trainer apparently oozing with skill and strength gives all his managers the dilemma. Big Dunc should have been making it clear to all managers that despite being the best trainer he is gash where and when it matters....in a game situation.

Iwobi was the classic panic buy. He is the classic expensive mistake. We will take a massive hit on his transfer fee and on his wages. However it is long past the time when we have to except reality and pay him his money and accept whatever fee we can get for him. I watched him against Chelsea and there is no doubt he covered a lot of ground he did nothing positive during the game. He isn’t good enough or suited to Everton. Unfortunately we have a few like him.

That’s probably one positive with Benitez I don’t think he would let Moshiri pick any

I’m not convinced on him in the transfer market, but it’s still a hell of a lot better than Moshiri/Brands/Kenwright to a lesser extent all sticking their noses in - too many cooks and all that. Prefer a simple process where the scouts scout, and the manager decides which players fit their system.

This.

Carlo in theory would have had that juice but as long as he could bring in some old pals, amble on the beach at Crosby and get a nice Rioja I don’t think he cared what FM BK MB did.

FM is hoisted on his own petard here- he’s given the keys to the candy store to RB who is a stubborn miserable knob and will not brook dissent. So he can’t say much when RB tells him to go piss up a rope.

Here is my animating principle for the next year or so: it is much more important to avoid bad signings than to make good ones, as sour as that may seem. The best move we could have made recently is to NOT sign Iwobi on stupid money. For the same outlay we could have brought in 2-3 squad players and/or youngsters and if even one of them became a regular in the XI we would be light years ahead.

In fairness, any manager should only need to see him in a game once, to work that out for himself.
