Thought he was okay when he came on against Southampton but thought he was poor yesterday.
Needed him to make runs down the wing to try and help pin them back, I just don’t see what he actually offers us.

Same. Just can’t see it though. He has flashes where he looks ok and this was the same at Arsenal as well. If he was like a youth product or something he’d get a lot more leeway but he’s played over 150 games and cost a fortune and doesn’t look like he’s progressed at all.
If a bid of 8mil + came in I’d sell immediately.
He has also been the most blamed player. Everything is his fault.
He is not allowed to take any credit when he has been ok because he must be to blame.
I know he has been poor, but I judge what I see, and he has done well in the last two games.

Its not blame. Its factual observations of him offering nothing. I struggle why some people cant grasp this. I think its a valid argument to say demarai gray has offered as much in two games than iwobi has in 2 years.
He has been very poor for significant periods, but not the last two games. Not stunning, but perfectly passable.
It is a team game and the team were rubbish most of last season. Not saying Iwobi is/will be great but Benitez is more hands on/build a team like Moyes was. Iwobi has talent unless he would not be in the PL. If Rafael can find the blend and get him to play his part then who knows?
He has been fine so far.

He's really got good vision. He gets a little reckless with passes sometimes but he's been really good these past two games I thought. I'd rather have a football player try than be scared.
