Even though they wobbled at times, I think we have to stick with the back 4 from the Leicester game, but sort out the midfielders in front of them.

On form, commitment and energy levels, there is a place for Alex in the team at this time.
Which amazes me after all these years of offering little or nothing to the team.

He is easily ahead of Gray and DCL in the pecking order.

We need a wall of 3 in front of the defence and Alex is wasted there.
Gotta be 3 from DVD, Delph, Doucs or Allen. Joe Royle dogs of war.
Which we have never been able to field so far.

You could play Alex and Gordon in front of them to make runs centre and wide and leave Richy to score one in three chances!

But we need to keep clean sheets and stop losing. Then hope we can steal a goal now and again.

I dunno. We need to try something a bit different.
Not a lot to lose at this stage and I think the current routine combos of 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 will see us relegated.
I'd rather have Iwobi in midfield for defensive purposes than Doucoure

I think it is a depressing benchmark for how far we have fallen that Iwobi is being hailed as the player he always should have been simply because he has started making lung busting runs across the pitch? For the first half against Leicester on Seamus looked as though he gave a shiz, the rest of them were woeful. Iwobi and Delph and Alli are finished, the sooner we can volley them the better. Iwobi has played some decent through balls recently, and as others have said nobody else in the team is trying them. however, that doesn't mean we are getting value for money from him? A classic demonstration that in the land of the blind the one-eyed man is king. Iwobi, is better at the than many around him, but he remains one-eyed nonetheless. I would genuinely swap Iwobi, Delph and Alli for someone like John Ebbrel right now, he would be seen as the next Roy Keane by some of our fans :( I am not even taking the Mickey out of our fans here, it is just we have sunken to these depths where these oxygen thieves are rated simply because those around them are developing rigor mortis!
He's doing more than run.

One goal...what else?
He played Richarlison through 1v1 twice in two games. Unfortunately not only did neither turn into an assist but neither actually even turned into a shot which is an impressive achievement.

In general he's getting the ball into good areas but he's playing deeper, something like the pass into Gordon that turned into Richarlison missing a sitter the other night is the kind of "end product" you need out of that role.

Aside from the occasional through ball I am not seeing it mate. I do get that we all see games differently, but i base my opinion of players on their ability benchmarked against winner i have been fortunate enough to see and Iwobi, Delph, Alli dont get anywhere the 80’s team bench never mind the first 11.

In the three games before Leicester the other night Iwobi had three good games and surprised his many critics, including me, but against Leicester, in my opinion, he didn’t have a bad game but many of poor traits came back into his game too often and although we need his new found energy he needs to make sure his final pass goes where it should, that didn’t happen the other night, he over ran the ball and also played a few passes to the wrong teammate, he can’t make these mistakes against Liverpool they will be more lethal with these mistakes.
