His job isn't to score goals
It is fair to say that many of our squad needs to be replaced and given the time and financial constraints of such a task then we need to have a bedrock of players left that we can fall back on. In a way you could say that it eas this lack of bedrock in the squad that has led us down this path. If the minimum of an everton player under Lampard is hardworking and, to loosely say, does a job, then that puts iwobi much higher in rankings than a few different players already. Next season most fans would probably rather see Patterson take that spot as a natural right back so Iwobi may just be an expensive squad player which is hopefully a reminder of our bad management. If we were plunged into a less an ideal season for whatever reason, at least Iwobi can be called on to do a job. Plus the idea we cannot sell everyone means Iwobi on current performances is far more valuable than those at the top of everyone's list to sell.
Bruh, you even said yourself, we need to sell everybody, they simply arent good enough.
For me everybody is for sale, some players I would want a decent fee for, they are :
Pickford, Myko, Rich and DCL, Myko makes the cut cos hes new and I think we have something to work with, the rest have shown over a considerable period of time that they simply arent good enough.
Holgate, Godfrey, Gordon, Iwobi, Davies I could make a case for as squad players.
Hes like a less oiled Adama Traore for me.
But, I would be willing to give him a go in a side that isnt horrific and fighting for its life.

Iwobi is getting a big love in cos he works hard. He certainly doesn’t run the show and I watched him quite a lot at Arsenal and defo never saw him dominating games there. How many times last night did he have loads of space on that side and do nothing with it? He tends to either play the safe option or the wrong option.
