We have seen these toxic atmospheres to many times now and its all down to frustration with inept performances . There is always a few who go overboard with abuse in the heat of the moment but most are just disappointed and go away and calm down . At the stage now that I feel there is some deep lying problem here that needs to dealt with. Results are poor and this week a disaster for our season . The wolves game is now huge considering city away next . Unless they have some absolute master plan to replace frank I think we must keep faith , buy 2 strikers and a playmaker and hope we turn the tide . Worrying times indeed and a lot to ponder in the next 6 weeks …

No way we see getting 2 strikers but I'm happy with one striker and a intelligent wide player.

Leave it out. He gets grief from match going fans as well. And it doesn't make you better than someone else because you attend then match and they don't. Just makes you look like a pretentious bell.

Some don't understand the dumbing down in football. Of all the attacking midfielders we've have had in last 5 years and we've been left with Iwobi. And then some wonder why we are struggling, just mind boggling.

He is definitely one of our better players currently which isn't saying much as we have been skirting relegation places at various times for 5 years now. We have had and likely will have better than him at some point.

I just hate how people think because they go the match they are better fans than others and that their view is somehow worth more.

...which decade of catastrophe just really put you over the edge?

Reports today that we are about to offer Iwobi £100k a week to extend his contract. Please, God No! He’s been playing well but he was rubbish for ages, he’s too inconsistent to make him one of the top earners at the club.

Not unhappy with that tbh. His current form would result in a decent transfer fee, if we don’t sign him up we risk yet another multimillion right off.
That and he’s actually performing.
If £100k is correct it’s £20k less that Gomes and Mina so might even indicate some financial restraint for a change.

It is tricky this as we can't risk him running his contract down plus his improved performances under Lampard have earned him a new deal, but we could end up with another Keane situation by giving a long term deal to a guy who has had a few good months who then reverts back to the norm and we are lumbered with him.
