Flat track bully. Didn’t fancy it from Minute one against that gobshite Robertson.
Another in a long line of wide men at Everton with mirallas syndrome; players who get goalside without the ball but essentially don’t get within 2 yards of the player on the ball and allow them to pick a pass or whatever else they want to do to retain possession. Compare it to the kopites widemen tonight and many others in the premier league who show a determination to actually get a foot in and make a tackle to win the ball

He is a good player and one of the reasons we stayed up last season. We built nothing through the right tonight and he had to defend for large parts. Made the cross of the match and links well with Gray. Not a right midfielder. Should be played behind a striker

He's a good player for a team in the bottom 3. He wouldn't be a good player anywhere else.

Your opinion fair enough, but he has played and scored in a major European final and has shown some quality for us. Not many others in the squad have..

Christ, let's not turn on our better players else we are doomed...

I just think he's the type of player who even when he's putting in good performances he's not really affecting the game. His goals and assists record is terrible.

I also though he hid away from the ball. hid behind liverpool players

Spot on. You just nailed the lack of character in him i hate. Its not the first time ive seen it in him. Pretend player. Pretends to look busy with that shuffle running.
Reality. He's doing nothing. Never see him go into a tackle and really mean it.
Fraud player. Hate him at Everton.

You mean all the goals and assists he got playing as a central creative midfielder, He’s a liability, the play breaks down with him to often.
He's in the wrong spot. Doesn't mean he's great in others but we have seem him be much better. It's not really a controversial thing anymore. He's not a right wing.

When Robertson dribbled past him you could tell he didn't want to defend. Stands completely still, both feet on the ground, and makes an alibi tackle.

He’s been better elsewhere in patch’s, but he can’t justify a place because he can’t influence results enough, he can hit form, but he’s not a high quality consistent effective PL midfielder mate. He can be a liability, his breakdowns are to frequent and to costly.

He needs selling, though I’m not sure teams would be interested unless the deal was negligible. Will be in Turkey with three seasons.

If he's not going to be picked in the centre - and I mean as a proper centre mid, not some blag role behind the striker - it's not worth having him on the pitch.

Only time he's useful is when responsibility is forced upon him, otherwise he'll go hiding.
