I like him, and his energy was huge for us this past season. But he just panics and doesn't have the quality we need, nor the ability to regain possession.

Easy to be the "most creative player outside the top 6" when you're the only creative wheel. Stats matter, but one does have to know how to interpret them. Otherwise, one can easily end up overpaying for the dross (other than Suarez) the RS bought in Comolli's first year at the helm of transfers.
It's somewhat like how a high points per game stat is always suspicious in an NBA player on a team bereft of anyone else that can shoot. If they're dropping thirty a game playing for a team with other quality shooters, odds are their attempts per point scored are much lower, and they can shoot.

They're trying to swoop up Rafael and Iwobi and announce them together.
He was 'close' to a new deal before Christmas. Clearly he feels he's worth more than we're offering.
He claims his favoured position is a 10, well....... He's played there and hasn't produced much. To be fair when played there he hasn't had much infront of him but his actual output is low. Daccoure isn't a 10 but his output when played there was as good as anyone in that position in the league.
Iwobi works hard, never grumbles and is clearly well liked in the squad. In our financial oosition if he's not committed by the time we head off to Switzerland you'd be tempted to actively sell.
His book value is only about 6 million pound so anything over than is seen as profit. Surely there would be a queue at that price?
