Couple of mistakes but on the whole I thought he was decent again tonight. Him and Onana has a few bits that linked well. Looking forward to seeing gana in that 3

Tried hard, some nice moments. Not a great game overall though, gave the ball away cheaply and he’s just not got the positional sense or awareness out of possession, particularly when we’re under the cosh.

There was a sequence in the second half where he sprinted forward on the attack, we lost the ball, then he sprinted all the way back to defend, we won the ball, and he sprinted forward on the attack again. Absolute madness how fit he is now.

Added to that, I think his new levels of work rate are giving him confidence to press more. He knows he can keep going, so he's not afraid to close down properly. Some of our other players should take note.

Except for when he tries to actually be Ronaldinho and take on two players with a flip-flap in his own half with five minutes to go. Made me laugh that.

He was cabbaged at that point wasn't he. The fact he didn't goof it or try to put a teammate in trouble shows you his current mindset though.

Let's be honest, he's never going to amount to too much, but one of the clear bright spots so far this season. One of the few who didn't look gassed tonight too.

He's become one of those players that gives a 7 or 8 out of 10 performance most weeks, with the odd 9 out of 10. I really never envisaged saying that about Alex Iwobi.

Love the turnaround, him Onana and gueye in midfield is some engine.

His ability to play out of a tight situation is huge. Always been a great dribbler like his uncle, but he’s been using that skill more appropriately and effectively of late.
