He came to realise during last season after enduring criticism (which was often justified) that the most important thing Evertonian's want to see from any player is passion and effort. It soon became a key part of his game and the confidence and quality quickly ensued to the point where he has now arguably became one of our most important and consistent players. Well done Alex. Cannot imagine us without you now.
