Two things Lampard deserves credit for - keeping us up and finding the role that got the best out of Iwobi.
Iwobi is simply put - a box to box defender. He is not a winger, an AM or DM.
He can't hold or orchestrate but he can damn well chase and hunt down.
He's the guy that the opposition attackers couldn't account for.
He'd just turn up from no where, tackle, disrupt or be in position to take the ball from the turnover. During that period there was no Garner. There was no one for him to link with having done his job.
Now that Danjuma is free from the 9 and Harrison soon to come in, there is no need for him to be out on the wing.
Whether Dyche can see his value or not is another thing.

Makes you grateful for Davy Klaasen who at least slinged his hook after one miserable season

Was angry when he joined.
Knew he'd be poo and wasn't surprised by his two years of abysmal efforts. 3-4 months of 7/10 games before a further year of pathetic performances.
Cannot wait for the day he leaves.

If we ever got a proper no.6 who could lead, defend and distribute in equal measure, and add Garner and Iwobi to that we'd have a better midfield than anything we've had since the days of Arteta and Cahill.
(although there'd be doubt whether Iwobi could keep up the run he managed for Lampard's role)

Get sulemana in on a loan with an option/obligation then we'd be a lot stronger on and off the pitch...

Iwobu flatters to deceive for me.and if the choice is a 100k a week new contract or 10mill and play Garner in his natural position then I'd be all over it
