Probably eminated from Brown's inside man in the Usmanov inner circle, likely sent to him via whattsapp.
Joyce and Hunter are only 'decent journalists' if you're an Everton fan though. Neither of them has ever said anything about Usmanov joining us as far as I'm aware. But that doesn't stop people believing it's happening.
The statement is being reported by John Cross, who (while being a bit of a tool) is seen by Arsenal fans in the same way as Hunter and Joyce are by Everton fans. It's not happening. Not at the moment anyway. Just let it go.

Whilst he does guest on the club's official show, maybe that hints to being in favour with kroenke and the board - be odd also for him to be in with usmanov as well given the relationship between those two sides?

As Usmanov wouldn't want anyone to think he's got any intention of jumping ship to another project, even if that was his intention, as he'd want to find a buyer for his stake without the idea that he was eager to depart for pastures new.
That said, any thought that this could be happening in the short term is wide of the mark imo.

Also gets fed stuff from the arsenal board but on other arsenal stuff has been slaughtered for getting stuff wrong regarding team news, injuries (Sanchez he f'd up big time declaring he was fit once) and transfers most noticeably.
