Alisher Usmanov

Thing is though, as much as it is appetising, these rumours have been around since Moshiri's day one, and with little supporting evidence or tangible link.

I feel it's all speculation.

I hate reasonable responses

Not sure of the finer details of club ownership and maybe @The Esk could set me straight on this idea...

It is widely reported that he wants to keep hold of his Arsenal shares to gift to his family and I presume this means stepson as he has no biological children. In theory, could he not gift his holding to his step son and then buy into Everton?

I'm fairly certain that would still be classed as being within the ownership of his family and wouldn't be allowed under PL rule

Who is going to buy his 30 million pounds worth of Arsenal shares knowing they will have no control of the investment. Kroenke won't buy it and allow Usmanov to finance the competition. Nothing to see here. If Usmanov manages to sell his shares then we have a story. Until then there is no point discussing it.

I dont understand this line of thinking, why wouldnt Kroenke buy?

He doesnt care about competition.

Stan Kroenke: I didn't buy Arsenal stake to win trophies

What you have to consider with arsenal is that considering they are a champions league mainstay, top 4 in the premier league, have some world renowned stars in ozil and sanchez, highly rated manager in Wenger, brand new massive stadium.

Where does all the money go? they don't spend much money compared to other clubs, if they go big they normally only bring one or 2 in that window rather than splashing the cash. All the money they make must go somewhere.... and a cut of it surely goes into the shareholders profits.

So as long as arsenal are making money for Kroenke, why would he care about real success which would cost him money?

If you think much of that money is actually in Russia, you've got a lot to learn.
More cba than a need to learn.

As he is very close friends with Putin he will likely be put in charge of doing so, exactly like he was with Gazprom when Putin appointed him to retrieve all the stolen assets of the company mate.
Ok, well, now we know where the new stadium's going...

Unlikely but it is well known that he is growing increasingly unhappy with things at Arsenal as he doesn't have much of a say in the running of the club. So somebody said he want to hand down something to his kids, as in Arsenal shares, why would he be able to do the same with Everton? Get the stadium sorted and we could well become a major player in the EPL. Also with him and Morshiri having links in the same steel company does this point to cheaper building costs? Who know maybe this has been the plan all along?

Can you please keep reason and common sense out of my threads. I need more conjecture and fantastical whims to get the likes and respect of the other GoT contributors.

Well anything could happen and they might not be a perennial top four team once Wenger retires. No guarantees in football.

I don't know where all their money goes, I only look at Everton's accounts.

How you work that out I dont know, he was asked at the end to clarify he wasnt leaving and he never answered.
The man said he is happy about twenty times.
Are you telling me, based on that interview, he left the impression on you he is looking to get out of Arsenal?

I thought that only counted for immediate family, otherwise it could cause all sorts of issues. For example, say Usmanov was not married and the step son already owned Watford...would Usmanov or the step son be required to sell up if Usmanov met and subsequently married the mum?
