Worse ever manager Fact. When Everton where a L2 side we filled the stadium every game. When Sam was in charge we only just got half full.i don't buy the narrative but if we were not at risk of relegation why didn't we just appoint an interim manager till the end of season like unsworth or big dunc or bring in an old favourite like peter reid or something? if there is an issue with sam allardyce's appointment then the backlash should be on moshiri who hired him.
we brought in the "expert" who saves teams from relegation. Were we ever at risk 12/13 games into the season, absolutely not but he was still brought in to ensure we did not get relegated because moshiri needed to protect his assets in order to provide investment for the next manager who he had lined up which was marco silva.
Koeman lost to Norwich and Leicester at home the previous year whereas Allardyce had no problems with the recently promoted sides and beat Leicester at home. At the end of the day he only lost two games at home to Man City and Man Utd, some would say expected losses, in fact Man Utd and Man City have already beaten us at home 3 times this season alone.
Allardyce did ok away from home and got wins at Newcastle, Stoke and Huddersfield.
The football was drub and dire, sure, i will give you that. Would i have wanted to give him more time and money to spend, absolutely not, but was he our worst ever manager or one of the worst? i don't see it personally.
I don't see how he can be worse than koeman or silva, particularly the latter. Silva is one the worst appointments this club has ever made imo.
Took Silva 6 games to have more shots on target then every single game of Sam.
