Confirmed Signing Allan

no sense getting ourselves worked up over fees and contract lengths when there has been no reliable confirmation of any agreement yet. If (& hopefully when) he finally signs for the inevitable undisclosed fee (£15m range on press rumours), confirmed contract length and rumoured salary (£3m pa range on press estimates) then we can get on with the important business of judging the bloke before he has kicked a ball for us. No need to rush such an important task.

Your figures are a bit off mate.

The press figures suggest 30-35m and 5m per year wages.

You misunderstand me. I am saying if he signs the fee will be quoted something like in range £23m-38m & wages £4-7m pa depending on source like normal as every paper & online source invents there own deal.

We had zero strikers of any note when Moyes left.

And a new manager should be able to do what he thinks best, otherwise why employ him?
Do you really believe that? Given that the level he had come from (Swansea/Wigan) and just relegated a club.
No thought was taken into whether he could handle a club of this size.

Bill gave him the job because of 2 games. The game against us and the final win.

My gripe isn't with Bobby it's with Bill. He got the appointment wrong if the idea was to give the candidate full control of the club. In my opinion Bobby would work fine now under a DOF.

If he signs the fee will be undisclosed, then we'll have a situation like Iwobi where people will claim the fee to be anywhere from £18m to £50m depending on agenda/weather/bowel movements at the time.
