2020/21 Allan

Allan is out mate - Maddison will show Davies up completely.

The problem is you can cope with one of Allan/Doucoure out but for me you cant deal with both - we saw how shocking our midfield was last season.

No pace
No grit
No solidity
No creativity

Get a loan in until the end of the season to cover Allan/Doucs - doesn't have to be a top player just someone who can get stuck in / put in a tackle.
I simply do not understand why people keep saying this.

If our postponed fixtures had been played we could easily be top four now, but as it is we are in sixth.

We simply have not had a bad run since Allan got injured.
In fact we are where we are in spite of JR, Allan, Digne , Richarlison and Coleman missing at different times.

We haven't been outclassed by anyone and could easily be top four at the momment if it wasn't for silly mistakes against Leeds and West Ham to name just two.

Pretty sure Doucoure played in the games Allan missed.

As I said our midfield was one of the weakest in the league last season and without both in there you are going back to the same players who have shown they are not good enough when played together with no legs/bite/energy around them.

Definition of insanity - repeating the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

I think we will have to go pretty defensive against Leicester and hopefully get a bit lucky

Vardy out for them is worse than Allan and Doucouré out for us. Gomes and Davies in midfield and keep a strong defence - I don't think they can outscore us if we have James, Richi and DCL starting.

2-0.

Pickford
Holgate
Keane
Mina
Godfrey
Sigurdsson
Gomes
Davies
James
Richarlison
DCL

We had a different manager for the first half of last season , we got a result against Wolves without a striker.

We miss every injured player but the fact remains the manager is the most important person at the club.

I would rather wait until the summer and buy a player that can have a long term impact on the club rather than getting someone as a short term solution.

We already have enough players at the club that we can't get rid of without adding to the list.

We need to bring in players that are fit to play top six or better, they are hard to find in January.

I have seen people throw names around without having a clue what they are talking about.
Over the seasons there have been so many players mentioned on here that if we didn't sign we would lose out badly and they turned out to be rubbish
Unfortunately we also signed to many of them ourselves.

we have two games in hand on Utd, Leicester and RS, and one on City. One win in those puts us in fourth over RS, two puts us joint-second on points with City and Leicester (although almost certainly still 4th on GD, we'd need +8 in those two games to do better).

Dropping points to the likes of Leeds and WH sucks but it won't be the last time we lose to sides of that sort, nor will it be the last time they beat someone at the top. League is strange this season.

Zero tackles in that midfield. And this will breed frustration with certain yellow cards for each of Gomes (nailed on) and Davies. Which will make us stand off even more in the latter stages.

That Leicester game is going to be really hard without Allan and Doucoure. No tackling or dynamism in midfield could cost us
Best chance might be to sit deep and try and counter attack on them. They like to do this but as shown the last time we played them they are a bit clueless if they have to play through you. Doucoure was immense that match though so he is a huge miss as is Allan.
