Allan looks unfit to me and has bee rushed back because we have no one else of quality to play in midfield.
At his best he is good enough to play in our midfield.
We just need quality around him.

Match fitness... He is nowhere near the sharpness required. Some players need several matches to get back up-to optimum, he is evidently one of them

How does being fit help you pass the ball 10 yards. His passing wasnt bad it was atrocious. He gives the ball away in bad positions every game. I m 62 and i cud go past him. Seen it all season. Sorry but i m not getting the hype. Hope i m wrong and its a first season adjustment but i doubt it. I tick boxes of attributes of new players. The first is always pace which he hasnt. If you aint got that your other boxes have to be high scoring like Gareth Barry s were. Allan is wanting in those as well.

I thought we were getting a genuine nr world class player for a song (similar to James). But he's just not that good. He''s a good player, but has had maybe one or two games where he has stood out, and quite a few where he's been a disappointment. I was genuinely shocked by his error on Saturday. A player who prides themselves on their defensive qualities does not get done like that. Poor concentration. And he should have been able to dominate on Saturday, he was playing Burnley for christ sake, and yet our midfield was completely prone for the whole game

Aye mad reading the last few pages. He’s just back from injury and proven quality. It’s those injuries I’d be more worried about denying Everton what he brings to the pitch.

And that's the main issue Macca, Gomes plays and we are in the deep brown stuff in midfield because there's a massive gaping Gomes hole that needs covering by either one or two other midfielders.

Leave Allan alone he's the only one worthy of a starting place now Doucs out. I said at the start of the season his positioning was excellent, it has gone to poo because he is trying to cover 3 positions.

I actually like Allan, at the start of the season i thought he was excellent in that role but since his injury lay off he doesn't look quite right or fit enough. Hopefully he just needs a few more games to get his fitness back up to match speed and next season with a few more better player additions i think he will actually look even better

Some of the shouts on here are laughable. Hes been thrown back in after been out for ages and without proper legs beside him. Will take him a couple more games and for Davies to be played in their beside him with Doucoure out.

Thought he had a good game in there. Has the Gareth Barry nous to be able to play almost the same way after a booking.

He and Gomes played well IMO. Gets caught with the ball on occasion but name a player that doesn't. He gets himself in the right place more often than not and is valuable to this team.
