He is more of an eight than we thought we were getting and when the two in front of him aren't doing a job he tries to press on his own and gets played around its not his fault in my view. He needs to either play as an eight or just sit as the six alongside Douc and another player with mobility. He is a good player but he is trying to do too much.

He’s not as good as Gueye is he.
I think the issue is he isn't a Gueye type I don't think he is actually a six as he was billed to be when we bought him, he can play as a DM if he sits but the way our midfield is made up without Doucoure we have no legs so he feels he has to pressure because nobody else is, that shows leadership. No he doesn't have the mobility of Gueye of course but then neither did Barry that doesn't mean he isn't a good player he just needs to be in the right make up he is probably a bit better on the ball than Gana and could probably drive on more if we had a monster DM.

Agreed, I enjoy watching him running around like a terrier trying to press but like you said it can cause problems because he often does it solo without backing from other midfielders. Think without doucoure he has to be a bit pragmatic as rest of midfield are so defensively inept
