I think he needs a clear role when he's roaming he gets caught out too often hes one of only decent tacklers but too immobile to wander about. Should just stay in front the defense and provide him clear dm duties

We need a midfield 3. Unfortunately we barely have 3 midfielders, and certainly not 3 decent ones.

If healthy it’s Allan, Doucoure, and VDB in the middle from here on out. At least it should be that. No other choice really.

Even when we play a midfield three he cannot play that holding role tbh, would rather gbamin have a go there. The amount of times Allan actually gets dribbled past for someone who's supposed to be good at tackling seems far too much.

Gomes is a very tidy player on the ball, but he needs time and does‘t tackle great, that’s why most that play with him struggle as they have to do a lot of his work, VDB is a much better all round player and that will help Allan a lot.
