Him, Garner and Iwobi (if he bucks his ideas up) could be a really solid midfield for us.
I've not seen enough of Garner to judge, but, any midfield with Iwobi in it will never be really solid. He's improved under Lampard and he runs around a lot, but, he really doesn't have the vision that a decent attacking midfielder needs. Decent athlete, good feet, no football brain. Agree on Onana though, a very good player.

Last few games he’s been well off it but Iwobi ranks right up there for chances created in the league. Can’t have no football brain and do that.

He has no football brain, in his favour he works hard and tries to pass forward, his chances created have mostly come when he has been under pressure and played a through ball instinctively, give him time on the ball and a decision to make, he is like a fish or of water.

You couldn't of put it better, that literally is his football CV.
And also why he can't function on the wing. Time is his toughest opponent !!!

Would send him on a season long loan plenty of others id sell before him
Genuinely could still see him with us next season if we're relegated. He's only 21, and would not be a huge salary-earner, and he looks like a level-headed enough lad to know himself he's still a bit raw.

If we don't get promoted next season though, he'd be off.

It’s a joy to watch him run through their midfield and against soton, he was asking for the ball and pointing to where he wanted it more than I’ve seen him do before.

Getting better. Shame most of the others seem to be getting worse.
