It amazes me that people watch this kid playing and don't see what I see. To me, it appears that, serious injury apart, this lad is bound for the very top. Look at the effect he has on the team already, than take into account that he is a 21 year old, recently arrived in the country, new to the fastest league in football and playing for one of the worst teams in that league.
He is head and shoulders above the rest of the team and not just because he is so tall, he really moves so much more comfortably with the ball than any of the others, he makes lots of very important tackles and interceptions and his stamina levels are tremendous. He won't be here for too long, if we stay up we may get another season out of him and when he goes, provided we are still in the premier league and not having a fire sale, he will fetch a very big fee.
I know that is not what we want to happen with our better players, but, realistically, that is the level we are at now. Buy to sell, rather than sell to buy.
