So you just imagine what players would do based on no information and are disappointed when they don't play that way, makes sense.

I've also seen players stay down for ages, the fact Keane got up means literally nothing at all and he's still a terrible footballer.

We'll miss Doucure but only because Dyche will play Tom Davies in his position and we'll essentially be playing with a player short for 78 minutes until he subs him off.
No not based on no information, that’s what he was described as when he came “ a box to box player” but you are right I’m more than disappointed in what he has shown up to now.

I never mentioned how good or bad Keane was as a footballer just that he wasn’t nesh like Onana, mind you I‘ve got to put my hand up to you, you can see into the future “ Because Dyche will play Tom Davies in his position and we’ll essentially be playing with a player short for 78 minutes until he subs him off”

We’ve been playing with a player short every time Onana plays he goes missing that often.
Lets hear your opinion of Onana.

Decent, holds the ball up well, has barely put a foot wrong in central midfield and is often available for an out ball, has good awareness (mostly, but experience and all) a good tackle in him - including the one that should've led to a goal but sadly Gana did... whatever that was, let's call it a shot maybe.

Doucure is available and never hides, absolutely, but also trips over his own feet and you don't know what you'll get with him - is he gonna control it? Is the first touch gonna be a short pass?

Onana's finishing is suspect (that we know of from the sample size of that 1 absolutely atrocious miss), but the rest is pretty good for a 21 year old international.

I suspect you expect him to be some world mega star for literally no reason here though. Is that the case mate? Should he pick up the ball and dribble past everyone? Cuz if that's what you expect you're in for a mega disappointment.

Regarding the Dyche comment - he's done the absolutely safest option every single time he's had a decision to make. I've actually gotten it correct when we make our subs - 75 mins+ every time lol - because it's that obvious, so my guess is based on the fact that Davies will be deemed the "safest" pick.

Again, Onana plays very differently with us than he does with Belgium, where he roams a lot more and plays pretty much as a pure central midfielder. Problem is we play with 2 similar roles in the middle so him and Gana offer the exact same thing anyway so no one will "shine"; how much is down to Dyche's tactics or just the personnel available remains to be seen. He's not a Doucoure replacement by any stretch of the imagination.

I watched Bracewell control many, many games and still went unnoticed, which is exactly the player we need right now.
Not quite sure how a player can control a game and go unnoticed, you noticed him as did thousands of blues, plus the England manager. Onana for me is just not doing enough, I know that it’s his first year in the PL, but I’ve not seen any significant improvement from his first game and the Spurs game, I certainly won’t be writing him but hoping for significant improvement next season.

You do an a lot of presuming don’t you Duality, I don’t expect any Everton signing, of the last few years,to be a

I don’t expect any Everton signing, of recent times, to be a world mega star and dribble past everyone, why would I, I’m not ten years of age, I definitely don’t see the Onana that you see, I would love to that one he would be a big improvement on the one I have to put up with, ‘ holds the ball up well, has barely put a foot wrong, has good awareness, I’ll give you the tackling part to a degree, he’s given a few fouls away with those tackles and been booked a few times for really stupid tackles, going down and tackling from behind, stay on your feet was the mantra I often heard at the training ground. Gana and Doucourte are definitely in the game more than Onana, he goes missing for minutes on end. I saw him for Belgium the other week, only the second half and he was used mostly as a defensive player and he wasn’t very good to be honest, but he went missing quite a lot so he wasn’t any different to when he plays for us. It looks like you don’t think he will play like Doucoure on Saturday up front using his height and weight, I don’t think so either, we will need someone who will have to work a lot harder, up front, than Onana seems to be able to,but anyway I hope we see the Onana you describe that would be a novelty mate.

Nope. The games he controlled went unlauded. And 3 caps? Ok.

Against Sweden he was classed as their 2nd best player behind hat trick king Lukaku in the 3-0 win.

The following game, a 3-2 win away against Germany he was considered to be in their top 3 performers and given the armband towards the end.

There were interviews with him after the Sweden match specifically about how in the Belgium setup he didnt have another midfielder behind him so was adjusting and trying to improve his positioning and awareness.

To say he went "missing quite a lot" in either of those games is, I want to say comical...but instead will simply say peculiar.

Say it how you want, I only saw the second half of the Germany game and I repeat he went missing quite a lot gave away a couple of very poor passes which put Germany in dangerous positions, got beat in his own six yard area when a Germany player went past him like he wasn’t there and hit the post.
