100% on Dyche for me
If we'd have had 3 midfielders and United had 2 in there and Onana etc were poor then id be agreeing with you.
But for me today its all about the tactics.
If Dyche was going to play this way he may have just rested a few players.
He was poor today, but, most of them were poor today.
Players not to blame at all? You can play 5 midfielders but if they refuse to press, we will still face an onslaught regardless defensive line.

If our players would have been pressing and harrying do you not think that having Fernandes as the spare man in midfield would have been a massive weakness in our press?
For me, you have a deep defence....Onana and Gana sitting as the base. Throw in Garner as well so we have someone good on the ball for counters.
Playing Onana + Gana against a 3 just left us massively exposed....
Every single outfield player was poor...no one knew what they were doing as they were getting outnumbered, outpassed and out thought in midfield.
Setup in a low block, deep 3 midfielders and let them come at us...

We didn’t press effectively because Simms defensive contribution was very poor.
Gray drop back and press a lot when he played as a striker and Doucoure suspension reduce our energy level significantly. That was the difference today.
Base on your logic we shouldn’t press at all and the defensive line should be deep in our penalty area. I don’t think this could stop the onslaught.

It worked under Ancelotti + we 'could' have had a better midfield had we gone with Garner Gana Onana.

I don’t see how we can compete with no press at all. Like I say it will just be a different type of onslaught with the ball sitting in our half most of the time. No guaranty we won’t concede either.
