Why does an injured player have to travel to the ground? Would it not be more beneficial for him to rest at home?
At the ground?!…it’s always a good sign if injured players attend, especially a home game. Much depends on what the injury is. He could actually go in for treatment ahead of the game.

….yep, I’d expect they’ll have whatever treatment he needs at Goodison. A long time ago but when I was with the other lot, I’d go to Anfield for treatment in my lunchtime at school, teachers were made up taking me. Much depends on the injury.
