Absolutely, 100% not trueAside from the odd goal Barkley would throw in for us, in all other parts of football, Onana is already miles better than Barkley was when he played for us

He really isn't. Barkley was one of the key players in a team that finished 5th. He was our playmaker and a player that even the best team like City, Liverpool and Utd were wary of. He was and is a massive talent and it's a shame how his career has panned out.Aside from the odd goal Barkley would throw in for us, in all other parts of football, Onana is already miles better than Barkley was when he played for us
Exactly, he would be easily our best player if he came back. He has genuine quality on the ball.Barkley was under appreciated by our fan base and was a very good player for us. I just want Onana to play to his potential and to put in some 8/10 displays rather than regular 6/10 type performances. Key players performing is important during relegation battles.
He played very well under Martinez and very well at times under Koeman in teams finishing in the top half of the table (comparative glory days compared to recent years). If a Klopp or an Ancelloti got hold of him early on he could have been a world class player.Mate he’s played for about 30 different managers over 12 years and this is the first time he’s started to perform consistently.
Looks like the penny finally dropped for him that he actually has to work hard and focus to be a decent player … only took him to get to the age of 30 to realise
Exactly, he was brilliant in Martinez first season too. Going to old Trafford and the Emirates and playing brilliantly. Everyone was gutted when he left to go to Chelsea. The issue was that there was far too much pressure on him. Chelsea is a player graveyard. Not sure what went wrong at Villa.Nar not having this me.
He was a brainless loon, but he was very good for us.
His last season under koeman he was class tbh
Just a bit thick really. Footballing equivalent of a cocker spaniel, easy on the eye, nothing up top, ultimately pointless.Exactly, he was brilliant in Martinez first season too. Onana is not even better than James Garner, if people actually watched him closely you’d see about 3 mins of action per game. It’s easy to dupe the fans if you go missing for most of the game and don’t have the bottle to actually make a mistake.
Anyone who thinks he has performed better for us than Barkley did clearly an agenda and has clue about football.
And yet would still be the best player in our teamJust a bit thick really. Footballing equivalent of a cocker spaniel, easy on the eye, nothing up top, ultimately pointless.
Didn't he run off after banging a dealer's bird and the fella slapped him?Exactly, he would be easily our best player if he came back. He has genuine quality on the ball.
Creative, attacking wise maybe. Not the best by any means. Can't compare a creative midfielder to a solid centre back for example. Best is a matter of perspectiveAnd yet would still be the best player in our team
He's playing for Luton, not Barcelona. Remember that. And yet would still be the best player in our team
Yes, but seen him be the best player on the field against Newcastle and Arsenal lately. Don’t think I could ever say that about any of our players. He's playing for Luton, not Barcelona. Remember that.
Whatever natural talent he has, is completely negated by the fact he is a moron. Have you forgotten all of the games where he was a complete nonentity and undermined the team defensively?
Generally all round ability he would be the highest class player other than Pickford (jury out on Branthwaite). He has played as a key player for a team finishing in the top 6/5. None of our other players have done that.Creative, attacking wise maybe. Not the best by any means. Can't compare a creative midfielder to a solid centre back for example.
