I lined up next to Amanda Holden at the start of a half marathon a few years back. I didn't recognise her as she had sunglasses on and her face just looked all pulled and a blur of plastic and paint. I honestly thought it was some sort of millionaire housewife that had had a tonne of bad surgery. We ran at more or less the same pace so I frequently passed her and she passed me. She grunted a lot. Only on finishing di my family ask me about my running buddy and why I was stalking Amanda Holden the whole way round!
