I've never been to USA, I have however stopped over in Atlanta airport en route to somewhere else and my 2 - 3 hours in the food court convinced me it's probably the next place I should visit.

I found a place called Arby's, a lot of travelling americans tell me it's not got that good a reputation...

But this is what I bought ....

that's the angus three cheese and bacon

and it was pretty sweet, but I'm sure there's probably better out there


so please, fellow travellers and North American foodies, make me hungry ...

I only ate at a couple of fast food places in Miami but they were greasily amazing. I would have a coronary inside 18 months if I lived there.
I also liek the fact that they put beer botles in cocktails.

Indeed. Let us show the ways of meat and smoke, as practiced in North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Arkansas, Texas, Kansas City, Memphis (did I already say Tennessee?) and points south, west, and north. That's worth one trip all in itself.

However, once upon a time you could get a fine plate of ropa vieja with black beans, rice, and some tasty maduros at the Miami airport. Didn't have time to search my last trip through, though.

Go to Brooklyn and get your butt into Peter Lugar's. They are rude, you must pay cash, it is expensive, it is hard to get a reservation, but it is worth it. You are into the true world of the NY beefsteak. Meat lover's paradise.
