There used to be a great place called Brickskeller- unreal selection of good German beers

Prost -- all things German, if that's your thing then give it a visit
Love, Makoto -- only tried the takeaway but great restaurant/concept/food, would eat there several nights if needed

Good visits
Stellina (?) -- Italian place near Prost, solid
Ethiopic -- was recommended to try some Ethiopian and this was on H street. Can't really rate it because have never tried Ethiopian before and still processing the eating experience but I enjoyed it and it's worth a visit.

There’s an Ethiopian place on the market near my work, I liked it but it was about 6-7 different things all put in the same tray.
Would like to try it in a restaurant where it’s alll separate and you can balance the components you your taste rather than one bit wet (tasty) mess

The Trainwreck at Beck's in the terminal market is killer. Cheesesteak with salami and andouille sausage.

The big roast pork place in there is also good, if that's more your speed.

Jim’s on South street for cheesesteak and go to the Amish cafe in terminal market for some scrapple.
