I think it would be terrible business even if they paid ALL his wages

£7M for a year still equates to £135k per week

We have brought in four young players , I don't think they have played 10 Premiership games between them.

A couple of loan signing who know the premiership would reduce the pressure on these young lads to immediately come into the team and do well.

I think signing young players on permanent deals and experienced older players on loan is a very sensible strategy.

Thats fair if youre a team starting from scratch. But lets not forget, we have

Coleman
Young
Tarkowski
Gana
Doucoure
DCL

All with alot of experience. Isnt 7 in the squad enough? On top of that, Mykolenko, McNeil, Garner and Harrison have experience and in a younger bracket.

Young players we own, Patterson, Branthwaite, Iroegbunam, Garner and Chermiti. Its an area we need to add more players

But the loan fees in question are not free ir cheap. Phillips' loan fee at West Ham for 6 months was nearly £10m and they had to cover 100% of his £180k wages. It's scandalous. And supposedly, City want similar this time. That's almost more than signing Richardson.

We absolutely need to avoid deals like this.

It would be peculiar if we went for Philips at that level of pricing rather than Richardson or another.

I think were waiting on a sale before topping that fee up and bringing someone in.
